As the market for fax machines changes, Fax Plus recognizes a need to adapt. In 1998 copy machines are added to the business and Fax Plus soon becomes the exclusive sales organization of Panasonic into the federal market.
CAC card is developed by the federal government to enhance security. Seeking the best customer options, Fax Plus moves to Ricoh and Savin machines to meet requirements for federal customers.
Fax Plus becomes a Ricoh strategic partner to the federal market
Fax Plus strengthens its role as a federal partner, increasing staff to reduce time to service and enhancing offerings including managed print services
Fax Plus changes its name to OMNI Business Systems to more clearly represent its growing stable of services
OMNI increases its presence on site with customers, increasing to 15 staff resident on customer sites to manage services
At this time, OMNI has more than 5,000 devices under MPS contracts with more than 35,000 fax machines and 10,000 copiers sold. 6,000 copiers are in service across the region today. More than 15,000 machines are being managed by OMNI managed print services.
